INFRASTRUCTURE OF LIBRARY

Under Local Library Authority, Thanjavur 112 library functions. 1 District Central  library,   58 Branch library, 48  Rural library and 5 Part time library are running .

39 Libraries are functioning in Own Building

RENTAL BUILDING:

13 Libraries are functioning in Rental Building

FREE BUILDING:

60 Libraries  are functioning in free building

COMPUTERISED LIBRARY:

The district Central library has been computerized with facilities including e-mail e-magazine and e-books etc. There is also an opportunity to find information about the books that have been interlinked through the internet.

Under the financial Assistance of RajaRam Mohan Roy Foundation,Kolkatta Local Library Authority getting aid such as Tamil,English books,Steel Racks and Computer etc.

READERS CIRCLE:

The readers Circle is being played by the library members and local prominent personalities who have made their major contributions of the Libraries.
